Real Christian Leaders

I pray that God will send some real Christian leaders to the US. Some Joshua's, David's, Elijah's, Esther's, Peter's and Paul's. In the current landscape it seems that we are surrounded by Pharisees like these. How a person can come on the air and claim to be a man of God and advocate the assassination of democratically elected leader is beyond me. Then to go the offensive again when he is called out for his remarks.

We need real godly leaders that have the Gospel in their hearts and hold onto Justice, Compassion, and Mercy. Not pointless wars, tax cuts, and the marginalization and scape goating of anyone out of the majority population.

American Christianity

There are day that I am disappointed in Christianity in America. Lately those days have been more and more frequent. We get in our heads that Christianity is a positive force in world history while forgetting the wrongs that have been committed in the name of God. These wrongs were either a result of our actions or wrongs committed with passive affirmation from Christians. I believe in the Gospel. Knowing the Gospel, we are all sinners and this sinful nature still exists in us. However we, as Christians forget this aspect of the Gospel and the taint of sin in our hearts corrupts the Church. We forget to remain vigilant and let the power that we have in America corrupt us. I feel there is such a lack of a sense of joy in salvation, a Biblical understanding of our selves, and a lack of repentance.
